Top 10 Interview Tips

 

Whenever we think about the Interview start getting questionnaire in our mind that how it will be. Instead of thinking about the result one should give have patience and follow below mentioned tips.

Knowledge is the key to success but good preparation increases the success rate.

 

1.     Prepare yourself – first of all look at your CV and understand all terms terms either technical or Non-technical. Whatever things you have mentioned should be from your domain. Wherever you feel insecure about the content, you should delete it accordingly. Do research on the company wherever you are going for an interview by reading an annual reports, study magazine and newspaper articles and get informed.
 

2.     Dress yourself properly – As everyone would agree that paying attention to your workplace image as it is one of powerful communicator.

3.     Practice - Practice answering interview questions and practice your responses to the typical job interview questions most employers ask. Think of actual examples you can use to describe your skills. Providing evidence of your successes is a great way to promote your candidacy.

4.     Be On Time - Be on time for the interview. On time means five to ten minutes early. If required, take some time to drive to the office ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going and how long it will take to get there.

5.     Develop your list of questions- Your interview shouldn't be seen as some type of interrogation. It's a "getting to know you" meeting, so feel free to ask questions. However, your first question shouldn't be "How much do I get paid?"  Instead, ask questions that show you understand the job and the company's needs. Be quick to pick up on the interviewer's comments and ask relevant questions.

6.     Practice positive visualization- Professional athletes do it. So do actors, yoga instructors and new age thinkers who sleep under makeshift pyramids to absorb that mystical energy. It's called positive visualization - and it works. It really does. In the days leading up to the interview, picture yourself sitting opposite the head of HR. Picture yourself relaxed, comfortable, at the top of your game. Play that clip over and over in your mind until it becomes so familiar, it actually becomes a part of your self-image. It simply can't be stated too often - your confidence during an interview should be obvious and genuine.

7.      Stay Calm during the job interview try to relax and stay as calm possible. Take a moment to regroup. Maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Listen to the entire question before you answer and pay attention - you will be embarrassed if you forget the question!

8.     Show What You Know - Try to relate what you know about the company when answering questions.  When discussing your career accomplishments match them to what the company is looking for.

9.     Follow Up - Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.

10.   Listen Carefully – Listen carefully is very important for answering.
